referral agency. Established in 1993, this group of nurses,
social workers and trained professionals assist families
free-of-charge in locating appropriate housing and care services.
Services are available for individuals age 55+, who are able to pay
privately for services for at least 3 months or who are receiving
long-term care insurance benefits.

Security Administration SSI Manual:
The SSI manual published by the Social Security Administration is
available on line. It is
called the POMS Manual. The
Medicaid long term care regulations follow most of the SSI rules so this
manual can be very helpful to answer questions about the Medicaid program
as well as the SSI program.
